Lore drops

I was scrolling through Bee’s Youtube posts and came across the header image. Thanks to Harada, word of god is that Lee is a good cook! Small lore drop here. We all headcannoned he was good at cooking anyway.

Another things was Harada’s tweet here. He says a lot, but I want to pick out the following:

Reina and Heihachi are—at least for now—the only parent-child pair to have a genuinely positive relationship.”\

This is solid, canon information that Heihachi doesn’t like any of his children, bar Reina. Alright, this is why he should stop answering people and musing about canon lore on Twitter. Well, it might as well be canon because it’s the word of god.

This isn’t anything new, and we knew Heihachi hated pretty much everyone, especially his family. But what is weird about Reina is that she was not raised by her mother or father, so the fact she adores him so makes no sense. It wouldn’t be called a “positive relationship” because it is one-sided. I feel like he either mispoke or revealed too much information.

Regardless, this is the way of Tekken now. By the way, more long-time developers have left the Tekken team. Tekken 8 hasn’t done so well, and to be honest, I’m glad! It was a pretty big disappointment and bringing Heihachi back wasn’t the greatest idea. If Harada wanted him back that badly, then they should’ve written a decent story.
